Responses of Latin American development banks to the economic crisis by the COVID-19 in particular in agricultural and SMEs sectors

The international crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic showed an uncertain picture at the beginning. It was estimated that it will be much greater than the 2008. Although the latter depended, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), on whether the base scenario was met; that is to say, that in the second half of the year there was some control and the productive apparatus gradually began to reactivate. In this paper we focus our attention on the measures, actions and the role of public development banks, particularly in the agricultural and micro, small and medium-sized enterprise sectors, during the covid 19 crisis.
