National Voluntary Review of the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in El Salvador.

The 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the result of the consensus of the international community, represented in the United Nations, on the challenges facing the planet and people's aspirations for a better future. The Agenda, based on the three dimensions of sustainable development - economic, social and environmental - has the potential to become a response to major global problems, but it requires joint action on a worldwide scale to become a reality.

It is for this reason that, with a sense of responsibility, El Salvador presents its First National Voluntary Review, as a sign of its firm commitment to fulfill and support the 2030 Agenda and its 17 SDGs, while seeking to contribute, with its own experiences, to the debate on the path to follow in this important direction.

The purpose of this First Review is to show the political, institutional and technical preparatory actions adopted in El Salvador, which is one of the 15 countries in the world that is part of a United Nations program for the accelerated implementation and follow-up of the 2030 Agenda. It is in this way that, over the last two years, we have prepared arduously to face this challenge, for which we formulated a Roadmap, which has involved socializing the Agenda and the SDGs, as well as conducting a diagnosis of the national statistical information necessary to produce the respective indicators.
